This is the master bedroom...we painted the walls that lovely green, and still need to paint the trim and put up curtains. The guestroom also needs some trim help, but is nice and comfy for anyone who wants to come visit us!

the neighborhood...

Our neighborhood is all townhouses, but lots of different styles....so far its been really quiet, and our only complaints are the people who feel the need to park on the street all the time! The outside of the house needs some work, but not until spring probably. We have a great view of the lake, and from the other side we can see town center. Yay for being able to take walks around the lake and plant flowers in front of our own house!

Everything is finally put away and we have curtains! We painted the walls and the trim, and still need to hang things on the walls, and eventually paint the rest of the wood in the rooms. And hopefully we'll be getting a buffet for the living room soon!

getting the house ready!

So in the week between closing and moving, we painted 5 rooms and updated some little things before we had lots of furniture in the house to worry about. Jeff, being the electrical engineer in the family, replaced all the outlet covers.

This is the master bedroom, complete with the ugliest curtains ever that were hanging in every room of the house! Obviously, they're all sitting in the trash now!

here are pictures of the kitchen, dining room and living room. As of yet nothing has been done with the kitchen, but i have big plans! the rooms are all in a row, with a "window" between the kitchen and dining room, and the living and dining room separated by a fence type thing. Apparently the previous owners didn't realize that some features should be outside only!

FIrst post!

Hi there! So we started this blog to create an easy way to share pictures and a little news on our lives. While updates may not be very frequent, we will try and share big things that are going on. Currently, we're getting ready to move into our first house tomorrow! Yay! We've been painting all week, and trying ot slowly move stuff in before we haul over all our furniture. I'll be posting pictures that we took before we bought the house, which will be good for comparison!
