new windows!

No more gross, wooden, dirty windows that we can't open and have no screens...we have brand new pretty windows! There's one before picture so you can see how ugly they were - I never even tried to clean them with all those individual panes! Now they flip down so i can (actually, so Jeff can) clean the inside and outside. They're also super energy efficient, so hopefully our electric bills won't be crazy during those steamy Virginia summers!

D.C. pics!

We had so much fun celebrating our first year of marriage in Washington, D.C.! We saw the Museum of natural History and the Air and Space Museum, hung out at Union Station, saw the Washington, Lincoln, Vietnam, Korean War, and WWII memorials! I'm pretty sure we walked a couple of miles! And now we're on to our second year, and we can't wait to see what God has in store for us - He truly has done some amazing things so far!

more randomness!

So Jeffrey was upset that the exciting pictures I took of him were not included in the last post, so here are some pic of the Sallee's hard at work! Jeff got a set of tools from my parents for Christmas, and he was having waaaay too much fun with the sander! He also takes care of all the electrical duties, and i get all of the tedious detail painting! I had no idea he was taking this picture until it was too late! Also, some random shelf pics that I am super proud of - i still need to get some more frames up and actually put pics in some of them, but you get the idea! Our house is becoming quite a home, but we need some more visitors! So put us on the summer vacation itinerary - Virginia Beach is quite the tourist hot spot!

It's been forever since we posted anything new, but we have been hard at work! We primed and painted the kitchen, if you scroll down you'll see more before pics, in this post there are the lovely grey primer pics and the gorgeous new red kitchen! Next on the list is painting the trim and priming and painting the cabinets. Then we'll just need some window treatments and the kitchen will be done...I can't wait! The Sallee Family sign was a Christmas present from Jeffrey! and the stone sign was a wedding gift from my best friend - I'm so glad to finally have color behind it so it stands out on the wall!
